Translate Your Pages in OneNote

“It’s not you, it’s me.” - OneNote to Google Translate after you discover this tip. 👀

No hate to Google Translate (it’s the OG) but you actually don’t need it in OneNote. That’s because OneNote has a nifty hidden tool that’ll translate any language, from French to Baha Indonesian to Eesti.

And it’s super easy to use. For example, say your company’s Italian counterparts send you their action items for the day. But…it’s all in Italian. Apart from “Ciao bella,” you don’t know anything in Italian. 😅

Instead of manually copying and pasting into Google Translate, you can translate everything natively in OneNote. Simply go to “View” on your ribbon, then Translate > Page.

Next, select the “From” to the original language (OneNote usually detects this automatically!) and change the “To” to your desired language—in this case, English. Click “Translate” and you’re good to go!

Wasn’t that easy? Or as you’d say in Italian, questo è facile! 🤌

The “Shortcut” to Becoming Your Best Self

In 2020, I had a conversation with my mom I’ll never forget.

I told her, “Mom. I’m going to be rich and famous someday, so I need you to prepare your nervous system for that.” She looked at me like I was nuts and said, “Oookay, Kat.” I don’t blame her. 😅

Did I have any proof that I was going to be “rich and famous?” No. I still had my 9–5. The idea for Miss Excel hadn’t even occurred to me. But I realized that the only way to become the best version of myself was to start acting like her.

This is Manifestation 101. Normally, we believe that once we have certain resources or evidence, we can do the “right” things, and then finally we’ll be the ideal version of ourselves.

In reality, reversing this order—AKA being that person first—is the key to achieving personal growth. Here’s an example:

  • Say you want to write a book. 📚 Instead of waiting for Harper Collins to somehow discover you, start asking yourself, “What would an author do on a daily basis?” Envision that ideal person (maybe they get up early to write, read before bed, etc.) and use that vision to guide your actions—until it becomes reality.

In my case, I saw myself as someone who had something big coming their way. Because I believed this, I used this vision to guide my actions:

  • ➜ When my friend suggested that I start making TikToks about Excel tips, I thought, “This could be my break,” and went for it—even though I had no idea how to use the app.

  • ➜ After the Excel TikToks started gaining traction, I got the idea to create a brand around teaching Excel—and Miss Excel was born. Instead of dismissing the idea as “crazy,” I went all in. I bought filming equipment to create more TikToks, reached out to people, and built my first courses on Excel and PowerPoint.

To claim that you’re [insert dream self here] when you’re not yet there sounds delusional (or “delulu,” as the kids would say). But when you start to see yourself through this lens, you take actions that are aligned with your goals. Little by little, those actions compound—and add up to some big results.

And I’d argue there’s nothing delusional about that.
