Meet the function that’ll save you hours

I'd love to know, which topic are you most interested in?

The Formula Your Coworkers Don’t Know About 📋

“Can you help me with this?”

It’s a Monday morning when your co-worker asks for help creating an invoice template. They need to add invoice numbers and have been manually typing 1, 2, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8…

By the time they reach 47, they’ve finally caved and asked for your help. 😅

Luckily, there’s no need for them to waste their time (or give themselves carpal tunnel) once you show them the magic formula: =SEQUENCE(150).

Excel handles the rest!

Bonus: What if your co-worker needed to start a specific number? Say they wanted to start at 1001 instead of 1. Just adjust the formula to =SEQUENCE(150,1,1001).

Think of it as filling three blanks:

  • 150 = How many numbers you want

  • 1 = How many columns

  • 1001 = What number to start at

That’s it! Happy Excel-ing. 💚

Predict Your Manager’s Feedback 🔮

You know that feeling when you send work to your manager and brace yourself for their feedback? The “Please rework this section” or “Let’s take a different approach here” comments that send you back to square one? 🫠

Well, what if you could skip that cycle and get it right on the first try?

Lani Assaf, who works in brand communications and marketing at Anthropic, shared a simple AI tip that does just that. And you can use it with Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or whatever AI tool you prefer!

Lani calls it the AI feedback vault. 🔒Here’s how it works:

Step 1) Create a new project called “[Manager’s Name] Feedback.”

Step 2) Upload all their past feedback. Google Doc comments, Teams messages, revisions requests, etc.

Step 3) Here’s where the magic happens. Before submitting your work, upload it to AI and ask:

“Based on the feedback patterns in this project, what changes would [manager] likely suggest? Draft recommendations so I can improve before sending.”

It’s like borrowing your manager’s brain without bothering them. What I love about it is that you’re training AI on human feedback instead of relying on its cookie-cutter suggestions. That personalized approach means you learn faster, send stronger work, and skip the revision ping-pong. 🏓

Before long, your manager will have no notes. And that nervous feeling before you send something over? History.

Thanks for reading! We’re putting together something special for Black Friday. And let me tell you—the bundle we’re pulling together is good. Like, going to transform-your-Excel-journey good. 🤩

I can’t spill all the details yet, but it’s based on what hundreds of you have voted on.

Keep your eyes peeled!

Stay Exceling,

Kat
