Seamlessly Record Your PowerPoint Presentations

Imagine this: You’ve just wrapped up an hour-long PowerPoint presentation for a big client. You’re ready to relax when your boss says, “Shoot, their manager missed it. Can you present again tomorrow?”

Um
 đŸ«

What we wish we could say 😅

No one wants to be in this situation. The good news? You don’t have to be once you learn how to create Live Presentations in PowerPoint.

PowerPoint Tip 💡:  Live Presentations are your PowerPoint in an MP4 format. Send them to your audience so they can watch on their devices, read subtitles in their language, zoom in on slides, and give feedback.

To send the manager a live presentation of your PowerPoint, here’s what you’d do:

Step 1) Go to File > Export

Step 2) On the pop-up page, change the File Format from PDF to MP4

Step 3) Adjust the seconds spent on each slide

Step 4) Click Export and you’re good to go!

That’s it! There is so much more you can do in PowerPoint to showcase your ideas (and secure that big deal or promotion 😉). In PowerPoint with Miss Excel, I teach you how with over 50 practice files and 100 training videos.

How to Identify Limiting Thoughts in Three Steps

“If somebody wants to reach their ultimate professional potential, how should they do that?”

This is the million-dollar question Lori Harder asked me on her podcast Earn Your Happy. How can someone (like your girl here đŸ™‹â€â™€ïž) go from a dull job to running their dream seven-figure online business?

My answer? Be. Aware. Of. Your. Thoughts.

When I first had the idea for Miss Excel, I was bombarded with limiting beliefs—AKA, the stories we tell ourselves that aren’t necessarily true.

In this case, my limiting beliefs were:

  • “The limelight isn’t for me.”

  • “I can’t post videos on TikTok, that’s embarrassing.”

  • “I’m good at Excel, but no one would pay to learn from me.”

These beliefs could’ve stopped me cold. Luckily, I was enrolled in Lacy Philips’ course To Be Magnetic, where I learned to challenge and replace these beliefs by becoming aware of them.

Awareness is a three-step process:  1) Pause 2) Observe 3) Challenge

Instead of fully believing the thought (“I’m not posting on TikTok because I can’t handle the limelight”), I’d pause and think, “Hm. That’s interesting. Is that true?”

This creates space to prevent you from blindly accepting the idea. In my case, I realized my avoidance of the spotlight wasn’t because I didn’t want it (a boundary) but because I convinced myself I wasn’t meant for it (a limiting belief).

What this could look like for you:

You’ve been telling yourself that you aren’t ready to apply for a promotion. But after you pause, reflect, and challenge, you realize this thought is unfounded and rooted in fear. You want the new role and you’re ready to take on more responsibility—the only thing in your way is a story you’ve told yourself that isn’t true.

My challenge for you: Spend at least 15 minutes writing down your thoughts about [insert your dream professional life here], recognizing your limiting beliefs, and dismantling them.

Because the time you spend investing in your professional growth is never wasted—especially when your dream career is on the other side. 💭
