Flip Your Data (Without Wasting Any Time)

Have you ever entered data into Excel, only to realize it’d read better if the columns and rows were flipped? Instead of spending eons re-arranging everything manually, try the Transpose feature

This feature flips columns into rows and vice versa. There are two ways you can use it—keep reading for the second one, which preserves your formatting:

Method 1

Step 1) In cell A8, type =TRANSPOSE(

Step 2) Select the full array (in our case, that’s A1:I5) and press Enter. Done!

Method 2

Step 1) Select cell A1 and press CTRL + A (the shortcut to select your entire worksheet).

Step 2) Right-click and click Copy

Step 3) In your home ribbon, go to Paste and then hit Transpose

Boom! Now swapping things around won’t take an entire afternoon. ✨

How I Turned Comparison Into a Strength

Have you ever seen someone share a career milestone on LinkedIn and—though you want to feel happy for them—you’re hit with an awful pang of jealousy?

Congratulations, you’re human. 🙃 We’ve all fallen into this trap—I know I have. But with a simple mindset shift, you can turn this negative spiral into a motivator: It’s time to start seeing people as expanders, not competitors

To explain, let me tell you about my friend (let’s call her T)!

T had always admired her coworker: She was whip-smart and an Excel wizard. But when T found out that her coworker got a promotion, she felt anxious and defeated.

“I’ll just never catch up to her,” T told me. I suggested she ask herself this one simple question:

T realized they had a lot in common: Both had a knack for Excel shortcuts, loved to present in company meetings, and were the office’s go-to PowerPoint pros. T was now aware of her own skills—skills she’d previously only seen in her coworker.

Once T established this common ground, she no longer felt discouraged by her coworker’s promotion: Instead, she felt inspired: “If she can do that, I can do it too,” she said.

This is the power of switching from having “competitors” to “expanders.”

The next time you catch yourself in a comparison spiral, ask yourself: What do you have in common with that person? When you see a piece of yourself in someone else, you’ll see your potential in them, too. ✨
