Organize your ChatGPT conversations

Hey! Does this sound familiar? Every day, you tell yourself, "I'll learn AI tomorrow." Tomorrow turns into next week, next week turns into next month, and...you get the picture. 🫠

But that "someday" mentality is costing you. While you're doing things the hard way, your coworkers are using AI to finish the same work in minutes.

Let’s get you caught up! Join my new free AI training, and in just one hour, you’ll learn how to master AI prompting, analyze data, and create a custom GPT tailored to your biggest work headaches.

Don’t wait for “someday” to learn AI. Save your spot now!

Clean Up Your Digital Junk Drawer 📂

Does your ChatGPT sidebar look as messy as your inbox on a Monday morning? 🙃 Mine used to look like that, too, and let me tell you: Spending five minutes hunting for “that one conversation about the quarterly report” while your boss taps their foot is not the vibe.

Fortunately, there’s an easy way to organize your ChatGPT workspace: folders. Here’s how to set them up:

Step 1) Go to New Project and type in your Project Name

Step 2) Click and drag existing prompts into folders

Done! Now you can find any conversation in seconds instead of playing digital hide-and-seek.

Plus: You can upload files and add custom instructions to each folder. This means ChatGPT remembers your project context, preferred writing style, and specific requirements—so every response is designed exactly how you need it. ✨

The Case for Just Starting ♟️

We’ve all been to a party where someone whips out a deck of cards. They start explaining the rules—"So first you deal seven cards, but if it's a red jack you can swap with your neighbor"—and you can literally feel everyone's brains shutting off. Then someone says, “Let’s just play a practice round,” and five minutes later, everyone gets it. 😅

That’s how learning works best: by doing.

But most of us have this backwards. We consume endless tutorials, bookmark dozens of articles, and tell ourselves we need to absorb every piece of information before we’re “ready” to try something new.

This approach assumes learning trickles down from watching to doing. In reality, it’s also built from the ground up, with trial, hands-on practice, and yes, some errors!

For example, if you want to:

  • Launch a YouTube channel: Instead of dutifully studying YouTubers, upload your first video. It’ll likely get 12 views (half from your mom), but you’ll really learn more in one upload than you would from months of passively watching tutorials.

  • Get better at Excel: Try building formulas on top of enrolling in a course. (Every Miss Excel course has hands-on worksheets to practice what you’ve learned!)

  • Try out sales: Don't study every sales methodology. Shadow a sales rep for a day and experience the sting of your first rejected pitch. 🥲

Honestly, you’ll never feel “prepared enough” before doing [insert YOUR dream activity here]. You’ll have to fumble through it at first. The good news is that, just like the card game, you’ll get the hang of it after a few rounds. Promise. 🃏

  • Here’s how to turn on incognito mode in ChatGPT. 🕵️

  • The nine words to swap out of your vocabulary to sound confident.

  • How to automatically create numbered lists in Excel in 24 seconds.

  • Why CTRL + E is my #1 Excel shortcut (and should be yours, too!). 👯

  • Stop telling ChatGPT to “sound more human.” Do this instead. 🤖

Thanks for reading! Did you know that Excel just dropped a new feature? The Explain Formula button in Copilot breaks down complex formulas into bite-sized and no-brainer explanations.

Here's to putting an end to the sheepish “one more question” Slacks to your manager. 💫

Stay Exceling,
