Two Little-Known ChatGPT Tricks đŸ€–

Did you know ChatGPT has about 700 million weekly users? Seven. Hundred. Million. That’s more than double the entire US population. 😼 But I’d bet most of those people don’t know about these two hidden gems that’ll level up your AI game:

1. Canvas

Type “Canvas” before you hit send, and ChatGPT will open a side-by-side editor. It’s super useful for writing or code editing—you can collaborate on drafts in real-time without losing your progress.

Think of each canvas as a mini document you can save, revisit, and refine whenever you want.

2. Temporary Chat

Need to ask ChatGPT something, but don’t want it saved? Just click “Temporary Chat” in the upper right-hand corner and voila! ChatGPT starts a chat that won’t be stored or used to train future responses.

This is perfect when you’re asking questions on behalf of friends and family (like when my old coworker asked me which dog breed she should get—I don’t want ChatGPT thinking I’m about to get a pet 😂).

Don’t Miss the AI & Excel Class Thousands Have Signed Up For!

In this 60-minute power packed (free!) training, you’ll learn how to use AI and Excel to get more done, save hours of your time, and impress your boss (just in time before annual reviews 😉).

If you’ve always wanted to use AI in your Excel workflow, but it felt too complicated, intimidating, or like you “just wouldn’t get it,” this is for you.

I break down everything in bite-sized steps so you can start using AI in Excel the very next day. This is one of my most popular trainings–and for good reason!

Here’s what previous attendees had to say:

The Five Levels of Advancing Your Career 🎯

Recently, I discovered a “Wait. What?” idea that made me stop mid-scroll: Your career progress isn’t just about what you do, but how people feel when your name pops up.

So what makes people feel good (or not so good) about working with you?

Cue: the Helpful Hierarchy. Entrepreneur Daniel Debow created this framework to show young professionals how to get the most out of their careers. In a nutshell:

  • Level 1: You spot a problem and walk away. People feel heavy because you’ve left them to find a solution.

  • Level 3: You bring the problem and some possible solutions. People feel lighter because you’re making their job easier.

  • Level 5: You identify the problem, figure out what caused it, fix it, and loop people in after. People feel light as air because you’ve taken care of everything.

Granted, reaching Level 5 isn’t always feasible! Maybe the Excel file you want to streamline is password-protected. Maybe the budget approval requires looping in a VP you’ve never chatted with.

Plus? Level 5 requires courage. Most people feel safer being told what to do instead of making decisions solo (that was 100% me in my 9–5 days! 🙃).

But here’s what you can do: Go as far as you can. Show up with ideas, research, and possible solutions. And be aware of the rest of your team. Who can you ask for guidance?

Advancing your career isn’t about having all the answers, access, or audacity. It’s about mindset. It's about asking yourself, "Where can I be helpful here?" instead of "Who's going to fix this?"

When you give yourself permission to tackle problems solo, I promise you’ll surprise yourself with how resourceful you actually are. ✹

  • Share personal info with ChatGPT? Definitely turn off this setting. 🙅

  • The lazy way to get perfect column and row sizes in Excel. đŸ€Œ

  • Tired: Uploading files into Outlook. Wired: Dragging and dropping. 🙌

  • ”Wow” —your boss after you show them this PowerPoint tip

  • Excel pros share their “top secret” tips (the first one is mind blowing!).

Thanks for reading! I’ve been obsessed with this AI prompt before I start my workday: “Turn my to-do list into a time-blocked daily schedule with built-in breaks and focus time.” 😌
